Indications:

The oils in this blend are known to kill the virus that causes fever blisters, also known as cold sores. Manuka is similar to Tea Tree oil, but much less medicinal in aroma. Manuka is honey scented, and is highly anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral, and is proven effective against both strep and staph infections. Some report that Manuka is less irritating than Tea Tree oil.

Testing at the University of Heidelberg showed that Manuka is more effective than Tea Tree essential oil when dealing with gram positive bacteria.

Application:

Apply a drop of FEVER BLISTER blend as soon as the cold sore, or fever blister begins, and repeat 5-10 times a day.

Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
