Wintergreen, Peppermint (menthol) and Camphor with some sweet floral oils and absolutes as minor components in a base Tamanu (Foraha), Emu and Arnica (homeopathic) oils, which are known to help soothe aching muscles and joints.

Tamanu oil is known to soothe the skin and help relieve irritations (due to its antiseptic properties). It is hydrating (softens the skin) and helps regenerate skin cells. Tamanu is a strong anti-inflammatory and may be useful to relieve rheumatism, eczema and inflammatory skin conditions.

"Tei-Fu" are the first two of four names of a Chinese herbalist who brought this ancient formula to the United States decades ago. It's origin dates back more than a thousand years to the era of the Tong Dynasty.

Application:

Our Tei-Fu blend is used to soothe aching muscles and stiff joints. Applied to the temples and back of the neck, it often relieves headaches, too. (Use caution applying near the eyes since they may be irritated by the strong aroma.)

For congestion or just to enjoy aroma in the air, many prefer to diffuse this blend in a cool-air diffuser. Since it is not suitable to diffuse carrier oils, we offer this essential oil blend minus the carrier oils in a blend we call Sinus Relief.

Tei-Fu oil is not known to be internally toxic in very small amounts, and some have used two or three drops in a glass of water and sipped it for a sore throat or to settle the stomach. It is too strong and we don’t recommend that anyone take much more than that.

Tei-Fu blend is antiseptic for surface sores, infections and helps to break up toxic or mineral deposits near the skin's surface. People have used Tei-Fu for insect bites, stings and fungal infections (athlete’s foot). It has proven helpful for rheumatism and arthritic pain, toothaches, cold sores, poison ivy, itching, swelling, stiff neck, muscle pain, bruises and sprains. One person commented that it “works better than aspirin for a headache and is quick to open up sinuses.”

Safety:

Avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive tissues. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.

Testimonies:

I'm "addicted" to this beautiful blend. It soothes my aching muscles, relieves headaches and opens my sinuses. I find it very uplifting too. Since it's already diluted, I have found that I can apply it to my throat when I get drowsy while driving. It's a nice pick-me-up and helps me feel alert until I reach my destination or a place where I can get some rest.
