Tea Tree is highly regarded as an antimicrobial and antiseptic essential oil. It has high levels of terpinenol, which is the key active constituent.

Tea Tree may help athlete’s foot, fungal infections, bronchitis, respiratory infections, gum disease, rash, sore throat, sunburn, tonsillitis, vaginal thrush, acne, burns, candida, cold sores, inflammation, viral infections, ingrown nails, warts, and wounds (promotes healing).

Application:

Diffuse to purify and dispel odors. Apply topically on areas where the skin is broken, including cuts, scrapes, burns, rashes, and infection.

Tea Tree is safe to take internally, but it is advised to dilute with a vegetable oil, (although most don’t feel that this is necessary).

Tea Tree is regarded as safe to use on children and pets.

Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
