Tsuga Canadensis

Plant Origin: Canada

Extraction Method: Steam distillation from needles and twigs

Key Constituents:

Bornyl Acetate 28-38%

Alpha- and Beta-Pinenes 18-25%

Camphene 12-18%

Limonene + Beta Phellandrene 3-7%

 

Properties and Uses:

Spruce, Tsuga is commonly used for respiratory issues, kidney / urinary infections, skin issues and venereal diseases.

 

Application:

Topical: Dilute 50/50 with a carrier oil and apply 2-4 drops on location as desired.

Inhalation: Diffuse (undiluted)

Internal: Can be taken internally: Dilute 50/50 with a vegetable oil, put into a capsule and take up to three times daily.

 

Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
