Properties & Uses:

Anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, antiseptic, mentally stimulating, circulation, laxative and tonic. Nutmeg has been used for centuries for digestive and kidney issues. It has adrenal cortex-like activity, which helps support the adrenal glands (for increased energy).

Nutmeg is useful for loss of appetite, chronic diarrhea, digestion, gallstones, bad breath, joint and muscle pain, bacterial infections, to revive after fainting, gout, immune function, regulating hormones, soothes cramps, nausea, nervous fatigue, nerve pain, nervous system and vomiting.

 

Application:

Topical: On area of concern, bottoms of feet or as desired

Inhalation: Diffuse for respiratory issues

Internal: Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for internal consumption by FDA. Dilute one drop in a tsp. of honey or 4oz. of beverage. Not recommended for children under six years old, and use with caution and in greater dilution for children over six.

 

Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
