Myrrh is a powerful antioxidant, anti-tumoral, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, anti-parasitic and analgesic/anesthetic.

Myrrh is used effectively for diabetes, cancer, hepatitis, fungal issues (Candida, ringworm, eczema), tooth/gum issues or infections, skin issues (chapped, cracked, wrinkles, stretch marks).

Topical: 2-4 drops on location or as desired

Inhalation: Too resinous to diffuse with a glass nebulizer, but suitable to directly inhale

Internal: Add to food or water as a dietary supplement or flavoring.

Researchers at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ have identified a compound in Myrrh that they believe could be developed into a potent anticancer agent. The compound, which kills cancer cells in the laboratory, shows particular promise for the prevention and treatment of breast and prostate cancer, according to researchers. I believe the component they isolated is Elemene. My personal feeling is that what scientists feel they must isolate will be the most effective when used as a whole as the Lord intended. I found one mention of this isolated Elemene was shown to have "significant effect on treatment of malignant brain tumors," but I cannot find the medical article that actually verifies this. If I do, I'll add it to this file.

Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
