Properties and Usage:

Marigold essential oil is exceptional for skin issues, inflammations and diaper irritations. It has been used to treat jaundice, varicose veins, bee stings, sprains, fever, smallpox, measles, coughs, mucous, ulcers and diluted with distilled water for sore eyes.


Marigold is anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-microbial is used for parasites (roundworms) and as a stomach tonic.

Marigold, also known as Calendula, is soothing with a wide variety of uses from soothing minor skin disorders like acne and chapped lips to snakebite wounds. It is highly antioxidant, and when combined with extra virgin olive oil, it is an excellent salve for serious burns, bruises, cuts and surgical incisions. Calendula has been known to ease the inflammation of Psoriasis lesions and slow the spread of the disease. It may be beneficial added to mouthwash to prevent and treat mouth sores. Some have used it in treating hemorrhoids.

It is difficult to get 100% pure Calendula essential oil, but by using the CO2 extraction process, we are pleased to be able to offer this wonderful oil.


Application:

Topical: 2-4 drops on location or as desired

Inhalation: directly inhale or diffuse

Internal: Add to food or water as a dietary supplement.



Safety:

Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
