Manuka is similar to Tea Tree oil but considered warmer, richer and milder. It is noted for skin, foot and hair issues. It is anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal. Research suggests that it is more potent in fighting bacteria and fungi than Tea Tree oil. Some research suggests that it will also be effective in fighting antibiotic resistant organisms such as MRSA. Manuka is known for its exceptional skin healing properties. It is used for skin infections, acne, bedsores, mild sunburn, fungal infections, itching, respiratory infections, sore throats, joint and muscle pain, athletes foot, ringworm, dandruff, body odor, cold sores, dermatitis, rhinitis, tonsillitis, stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Application:
Topical: 2-4 drops on location or as desired
Inhalation: directly inhale or diffuse
Internal: Gargle, add to food or water as a dietary supplement.
Safety:
Avoid applying to skin that will be exposed to sunlight or UV light within 24 hours. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
