Plant Origin: Canada, certified organic

Extraction Method: Steam distilled from flowering tops

Key Constituents:

Germacrene D 22-35%

Alpha-Pinene 10-18%

Myrcene 8-15%

Sabinene 5-11

Limonene 6-12%


Historical Note:

Goldenrod gained the nickname, "Liberty Tea" during the time of the Boston Tea Party. When English tea was dumped into Boston Harbor, Colonists drank goldenrod tea instead, which gave goldenrod it's famous nickname.


Properties and Usage:

Goldenrod is a diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-hypertensive and a liver stimulent.


Goldenrod is useful for hypertension, liver congestion, Hepatitis / fatty liver, circulatory issues, urinary tract / bladder issues.

 

Application:

Topical: Dilute 50/50 with a carrier oil and apply Goldenrod on location or as desired

Inhalation: Directly inhale or diffuse

Internal: According to the Essential Oil Desk Reference, Goldenrod is suitable to be a dietary supplement.


Safety:

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or UV light if applying to exposed skin. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
