Extraction Method: Steam distilled from needles

Key Constituents:

alpha Pinene 25-40%

beta Pinene 7-15%

Limonene 6-11%

Bornyl Acetate 8-15%

Properties and Usage:

Douglas Fir is anti-tumoral, antioxidant, antifungal and pain relieving

Douglas Fir is useful for respiratory and sinus infections, is a decongestant, is helpful for rheumatism, arthritis, joint and muscle pain.

 

Application:

Topical: Dilute Douglas Fir 50/50 with a carrier oil and apply on location or as desired

Inhalation: Diffuse (undiluted)

Internal:  Douglas Fir is considered by some sources to be safe for internal use, but our suggestion is that it is primarily suited for effective topical and diffusion use.

 

Safety:

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or UV light if applying to exposed skin. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
