Extraction Method: Steam distilled leaves and twigs

Key Constituents:

Cinnamic Aldehyde 74.08%

2-Methoxycinnamaldehyde 10.52%

Cinnamyl Acetate 6.55%

Coumarin 1.16%

Cassia's aroma is very similar to Cinnamon Bark, but they are chemically quite different. We prefer not to use low-grade oils from China therapeutically, but carry this particular oil for those who want to use this economical alternative to the cinnamon aroma to repel pests. We do NOT recommend using this oil therapeutically.

 

Safety:
Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
