Properties & Usage:

Bergamot has been used for hundreds of years for oily skin conditions and is responsible for the distinctive flavor of Earl Grey Tea. It is calming and uplifting, is supportive to hormones and antibacterial. Bergamot is particularly noted to benefit agitation, depression, anxiety, insomnia, intestinal parasites and viral infections such as herpes and cold sores.

Application:

Topical: Dilute Begamot 50/50 with a carrier oil and apply 1-2 drops on location. Avoid applying to skin that will be exposed to sunlight or UV light within 36 hours.

Inhalation: Diffuse (undiluted)

Internal: Can be taken internally; dilution recommended

Safety: Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye. Water will not adequately dilute the oil. We’ve never known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your doctor if necessary.
